Waverazor Dual Oscillator Module Editor

US Free software Editor offers quick access to all available sound editing parameters      12/10/20

MOK has released a dedicated software editor for their Waverazor Dual Oscillator module. They tell us that this standalone application enables the user to make new oscillator configurations while auditioning changes entirely within the computer. It allows for quick access to all the available sound editing parameters, including the ability to create custom modulation routes. When editing is finished, the configuration files can be copied directly to microSD card for easy transfer to the module.

Taiho Yamada, co-founder at MOK, told us, "It's really convenient to be able to work on my wave-slicing anytime, even when I'm away from my modular system. And I like that it's possible to hook up a MIDI controller while I'm sound designing in order to set new pitch references if I want."

The Waverazor Dual Oscillator module brings MOK's patented wave-slicing synthesis to Eurorack. Each oscillator can contain up to 8 individual wave segments, assembling a "Frankenstein" waveform that produces complex harmonic content. Each slice has independent control over wave pitch, volume, phase and DC offset, allowing a single oscillator to contain a multitude of timbral colors. Even the "razor" itself can be adjusted, with parameters for its own slicing frequency, step size multiplier and duty cycle.

Waverazor Dual Oscillator Editor Features:

  • Free standalone application for creating your own presets
  • Allows editing of all oscillator configuration parameters
  • Enjoy faster navigation and deeper programming
  • Oscilloscope view enables precise waveform design
  • Set up custom modulation routes for unique patching options
  • Easily transfer files to the hardware via the module's microSD card
  • Available for Mac OS X and Windows
