Customise Your MicroKorg

GB Oversynth.com has released a collection of new overlay kits      09/09/20

Oversynth.com has released a collection of new overlay kits for the MicroKorg synthesizer.  Each kit consists of five panels that attach to the front panel of your MicroKorg using low-tack adhesive.  There are a variety of designs and color schemes available.  All designs have the following features:

  • Shift functions are shown below corresponding controls
  • Rear connections such as Audio and MIDI I/O are labeled along the top edge of the overlay
  • MIDI CC numbers are shown next to corresponding editing parameters, making it easier to control the MicroKorg with hardware or software sequencers and MIDI controllers

In addition, many of the new designs feature flowchart diagrams showing the signal routing for the synth and vocoder engines.  A few of the designs take this concept further by color-matching modules in the flowchart with corresponding parameters in the editing matrix.  Oversynth believes that this approach makes it much easier to do in-depth sound design, as well as quick parameter adjustments during live performance.

Overlay installation requires the removal of all the front panel knobs and screws, but the procedure is fairly straightforward as seen in the installation video above.

Oversynth.com designs and manufactures overlays and sound packs for a variety of popular synthesizers from Korg, Moog, Dave Smith Instruments, Waldorf, Behringer, Teenage Engineering, and Elektron.  All products are made in the USA and ship worldwide.
