US MIDI-controlled polyphonic synth emulates Nintendo game sound      08/09/20

NES Poly Chiptune Synthesizer

Currently to be ordered through a Kickstarter Campaign is the NES Poly Chiptune Synthesizer, a MIDI-controlled polyphonic synth that emulates the sound of the Nintendo Entertainment System video game console.

This is what its designers have to say about it...

The NES Poly Chiptune allows musicians to create NES / Famicom style chipmusic by simply connecting a MIDI controller. It is designed to work with a variety of MIDI controllers, including keyboards, sequencers, and most other MIDI devices that feature a standard MIDI DIN output. Musicians can even control the synth with a laptop or desktop computer via a MIDI interface cable.

The NES Poly Chiptune Synthesizer is a great way to create chiptunes in the style of the classic NES video game theme songs. Users can select from 8 waveform settings and 8 preset sound parameter settings for a total of 8 x 8 = 64 preset patches. Additionally, musicians can create their own custom sounds by editing the synth's 16 sound parameters using MIDI CC messages.

Pricing and Availability:
$249 -see Kickstarter page.
