Sonic LAB: LOCI Modular Desktop Stands

US Wooden push fit construction kits      06/07/20

The LOCI range of modular desktop stands are push together wooden construction kits that allow you to mount desktop gear in space saving and nifty ways. Designed to solve the problem that face many home studio and hobbyists.

Made from an oak veneer they come in several kits, all can be interconnected to create a custom mounting system that fits your specific setup. You can mount desktop units, small keyboards, modular racks and plenty of other items.

There are four variants: LOCI Accessory, LOCI Classic, LOCI Dinky and LOCI Expander.

All interchangeable and extendable thanks to a clever bit of design. They are also made from "durable veneer wood" and are sourced responsibly to ensure a sustainable supply. There is no plastic, the packaging is also cardboard.

Now this all sounds great, and actually it is, the extendability and re-usable nature of the stands makes them a good solution for the space conscious, but there is a price to pay, they aren't especially cheap varying from around $34.95/£35 (Expander) to  $53.50/£49 for the Classic. So if you have a lot of stuff to mount it can easily end up taking you into three figures.

But, they are pretty nifty and there's not much else out there that is both purpose built and not made of plastic.

LOCI Accessory - $44.45/£42, LOCI Classic $53.50/£49, LOCI Dinky $44.50/£42 and LOCI Expander $34.95/£35.
