New USB Microphones For Content Creators

US Elgato's Wave mics are created in partnership with LEWITT      22/06/20

Elgato, a leading provider of hardware and software for content creators, has announced the launch of its first-ever microphones, Elgato Wave:1 and Wave:3. They say that, in addition to being premium microphones, Wave:1 and Wave:3 ship with the Wave Link app to become complete digital mixing solutions that give content creators the professional audio control they need.

Julian Fest, VP and GM of Elgato, told us, "We know audio is at the very core of our users' setups. It starts with the microphone but extends to so many other sources. When we started working on Project Wave, we wanted to build a complete solution that would make professional sound and powerful mixing more accessible than ever. We've succeeded, and with the cutting-edge tech that we and our partner, LEWITT, have incorporated into Elgato Wave mics and the Wave Link app, we couldn't be more excited to enter this market."

Here's more, direct from Elgato...

With world-renowned microphone manufacturer LEWITT on board, Wave:1 and Wave:3 are born from rigorous calibration and fine-tuning in state-of-the-art acoustic testing chambers and real-world streaming scenarios alike.

Both Wave:1 and Wave:3 boast broadcast-quality audio capture powered by a cardioid condenser capsule and 24-bit analog-to-digital converter. The proprietary Clipguard anti-distortion technology that LEWITT developed for the Elgato Wave microphones, analyzes input in real time and automatically provides the additional headroom that is needed, before sending them to the computer.

With the launch of Elgato Wave microphones, studio-grade audio and intuitive mixing are now accessible to content creators everywhere.
