Considerations For Re-opening Studios

Just in from the The Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing:

The Producers & Engineers Wing® has been a resource for the recording community for nearly 20 years and will continue its work long after this current health crisis has passed. As businesses around the country consider how to proceed with plans for partial and staggered re-openings, we understand that they are feeling a deep sense of responsibility and trepidation.

We have spoken with numerous recording studio owners, engineers and other industry professionals around the country, and based on their suggested protocols, we've compiled a list of potential safety measures and considerations for recording studios as the process of reopening begins. The document, titled "Considerations For Recording Studios As They Reopen," is a resource and is not meant to supersede local guidelines but instead to complement them with specifics, as informed by numerous studio owners, engineers and others who are striving to keep the music community safe while getting back to work.

We'd love your support in sharing these considerations. Please feel free to contact us at pe.wing@recordingacademy.com. For an online version of the document please click here. You do not have to log in to access the Considerations.
