UJAM Releases Beatmaker VICE

US Instrument features 1980s drum machine samples processed to 21st century standards      24/04/20

UJAM has released Beatmaker VICE, the latest addition to their series of virtual electronic drum plug-ins. They tell us that the plug-in features drum machine samples from the 1980s processed to 21st century sound standard, ready-made patterns and proprietary mix and effect automation.

Beatmaker VICE is immediately available in VST, AU, AAX plug-in formats for both macOS and Windows.

This is what UJAM has to say about Beatmaker VICE…

Inspired by some of the most legendary classic drum machines from companies like Linn, Roland, Simmons or Korg, VICE combines the sound aesthetics of the 1980s with contemporary sound fidelity.

The style elements of the 1980s have been re-discovered by contemporary music producers and in genres like Synthwave. Influenced by 1980s film soundtracks and video games and inspired by composers like Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Trevor Horn, Synthwave contains 1980s clichéd elements. VICE aims at producers and musicians who want an easy and quick way to build drum tracks for the genre focusing on the music rather than the sound engineering.

Beatmaker VICE features:

  • Drum kits built from analog drum machines
  • 10 Drum Kits
  • 12 Smart-mix Presets
  • 30 Styles and 60 Presets
  • 460 Patterns (intro, verse, chorus, fill, ending)
  • MIDI Drag and Drop of grooves to DAW tracks for detailed note editing
  • Master Section: Sweep, Saturate, Maximize, Ambience
  • Sound Shaping Controls per Instrument: Type Selector, Filter, Decay, Volume
  • Individual outputs for separate mixing setups
  • Proprietary “Time Machine” algorithm as Special Control
  • Cross-compatibility with all Beatmakers and even Virtual Drummers

All Beatmaker plug-ins are available as a direct download in VST, AU, and AAX formats for any compatible DAW, including Logic, Garageband, Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio and Studio One. Free, fully functional 30-day trials are available.

The Beatmaker series has four more titles: DOPE for classic Hip Hop inspired by the 1990s, EDEN covering electronic dance music styles, HUSTLE for contemporary urban genres like Trap, and VOID for Drum & Bass breakbeats and heavy syncopation such as liquid, jungle and neurofunk. Samples, presets, patterns, fills and breakdowns for Beatmaker are created by renowned specialist sound designers for each genre.
