Roland Cloud Academy Categories Expanded

US Live online learning platform adds livestreaming, Zenbeats, and FANTOM courses      20/04/20

Roland has announced the expansion of categories for Roland Cloud Academy, an online learning platform providing free music and video production training for registered and prospective Roland product owners around the world. New courses dedicated to livestreaming, synthesizers, and the music app Zenbeats are now offered as free online sessions—in addition to the academy’s already robust course offerings covering many of Roland’s DJ and production instruments.

Hosted live by Roland’s top product specialists, students benefit from the Cloud Academy’s interactive, multimedia online platform as instructors provide real-time responses to questions submitted via live chat, voice, and webcam. Launched in 2017 as a free program, Roland Cloud Academy has more than doubled in both attendance and course offerings in 2020, with expansive tracks of interactive training courses—now covering a wide variety of topics, time zones, skill levels, and languages.

Sessions at the academy showcase popular Roland DJ products such as DJ-202, DJ-505, DJ-707M, and DJ-808 controllers, with MC-101 / MC-707 GROOVEBOXES and TR-8S Rhythm Performer recently added in February 2020. The newest course offerings announced today feature FANTOM Synthesizers, Zenbeats music creation app, and a general knowledge livestreaming course including two of Roland’s award-winning products, the VR-1HD AV Streaming Mixer, and the GO:LIVECAST Livestreaming Studio for Smartphones. Here's more details on them direct from Roland...

Roland Cloud Academy’s new Livestreaming program familiarizes students with livestreaming fundamentals like online platforms, technical requirements, production basics, and monetization options. An overview of several Roland streaming products and 3rd party cameras / accessories is also covered, with focus on video conferencing, remote teaching, live performance, worship services, gamecasting, and more.

The Synth & AIRA program, the course track that laid the foundation for the entire Cloud Academy program, started with instruction on Roland’s DJ controllers and has grown to include the new GROOVEBOXES and TR-8S Rhythm Performer. The newly added FANTOM curriculum, offered over three separate courses, will teach students everything from the foundations of keyboard synthesis to performing and controlling external applications like Mainstage.

Novice producers to seasoned beatmakers can create, share, and collaborate on songs with their friends using Roland’s intuitive and inspiring music creation app Zenbeats. The Cloud Academy’s two-tiered Zenbeats program offers users the chance to learn directly from product specialists and quickly advance their skills and creative scope within the music software.
