Happy Birthday Dave Smith!

US Only 70 today      02/04/20

Just in from our friends over at Sequential is the news the Dave Smith, one of our elder statesmen of the industry, is 70 years old today.

We last spoke to Dave at NAMM only a few months ago, and he was in fine form, showing us the Sequential Pro-3 personally.

Dave Smith's work at Sequential Circuits Inc pioneered affordable mono synths, the first programmable poly (Prophet 5) and many other fabulous innovations.

He was also instrumental in the specification and adoption of the MIDI standard, and now continues to release instruments.
We know Dave is fond of a shot of sipping Tequila - we have a nice range of Dave Smith Instruments and Sequential glasses in our collection, so here's to you Mr Dave Smith  - Happy, Happy Birthday!  We look forward to seeing you in person again very soon.

There's a lovely online birthday card premiering now on Youtube (see above).
