Audient iD4 Interfaces Up For Grabs

US Hospice charity single fundraising project launched      02/03/20

Audient has been in touch to tell us that they are giving away iD4 audio interfaces for three lucky winners of a competition to raise money for Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices, which launches today.

Run by the charity, the competition is open to anybody anywhere - but aimed predominantly at local schools and community groups. Entrants must learn, record and/or perform a version of the original song: Forevermore penned by a long-term supporter who is also a songwriter. Here’s the Audient press release with the full details…

Winchester, UK; 2nd March 2020 – Audient supports local charity, Naomi House & Jacksplace in its fundraising project, ‘Forevermore Song’ by providing three iD4 USB audio interfaces as prizes. The charity has teamed up with long-term supporter and local musician Ben Dlugokecki and 30 local musicians to create the original single: Forevermore.
Launching today, local schools, music groups and community groups are invited to create their very own version of Forevermore and raise money with the challenge. The charity asks that people learn the song and then create, record and submit their very own version in a music video. Putting on live performances of their versions of the song are also an opportunity to raise money.
Each video will be entered into a competition, the deadline for which is 10th July 2020 at 5pm. They will be judged by an expert music panel and the winning group will get to perform their version for Naomi House & Jacksplace and a one-off pressed vinyl recording of the track with sleeve artwork designed by children at Naomi House & Jacksplace. The winning group and the group who raise the most money will each win a brand new Audient iD4 USB audio interface, and there will also be one randomly drawn winner.
The original song was recorded at Winchester music venue, The Railway Inn using Forevermore songwriter, Ben’s very own iD4. “It’s such a nice link that the prizes on offer were actually used to record the song, and also that Audient products are a musician’s clear choice when it comes to recording!” says Fundraising Assistant, Connor Phillips.
He’s clearly passionate about the charity, which provides hospices for children and young adults with life limiting or life-threatening conditions. “Music is an essential and joyful part of life at Naomi House & Jacksplace. Music can be so beneficial for the children and young adults visiting the hospices and is a fantastic way to connect with them,” he explains.
Audient’s Marketing Director, Andy Allen adds, “Encouraging local kids and young people to record music is very important to us all here at Audient so we are delighted to be a part of the competition. We are honoured to help raise funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace too, which does incredible work in the region.”
Lucy Gray, Regional Fundraiser explains how the competition works: “Forevermore has been written as a track that can be individually interpreted. All lyrics, melodies, scores, harmonies and anything else we think you might need to create your video are provided on our website, alongside a Naomi House & Jacksplace version of Forevermore.”
Encouraging participants, she continues, “We want you and your group to put your creative hats, socks and shoes on and come up with a truly unique version of Forevermore, the more bizarre, the better! There are no limits to this video - use whatever instruments you’d like and we would definitely recommend adding in some dance moves to make sure your entry stands out to our ‘expert’ judging panel! You don’t need to be the best singer, dancer or musician, we just want you and your group to have a good time enjoying the power of music and the amazing positive effect it can have on every single person.”
