A new series from Krotos Audio with professional sound designer Dan Mellins-Cohen, who's showing the amount of work and detail that goes into foley/sound design work. In this first part, he's working on a Samurai fight scene. But all from his sofa using Krotos Audio Sound Design Bundle 2.
Its an really interesting workflow that uses a mic to take timings and impulses from the human voice and apply them to the live action by transforming them into sounds using sound packs and Reformer Pro (part of the Sound Design Bundle 2.
Who knew there was so much to it? Also interesting is the way this can now be achieved without the need for location recording and complex multi-tracking of live sound - though to be fair, this is still pretty complex.
