Rave Hoover Sound From Your Minilogue XD

US Staub oscillator for the Korg synth aims to recreate that sound and more      20/05/19

Staub Audio tells us that Staub is an oscillator  for the Korg Minilogue XD synthesizer that accurately reproduces the 'Rave Hoover' sound and lots more. Here's the story in their own words...

Staub was built to accurately reproduce this iconic sound, as heard on tracks such as Human Resource's "Dominator" (1991) and The Bloody Beetroots and Steve Aoki's "Warp 1.9" (2009). It is closely modelled after the original's oscillator to get the most accurate result.

Staub is, however, not a one-trick pony. The oscillator's rich harmonics are capable of producing sounds otherwise impossible on the 'logue series of synths.

To be precise, Staub is actually not one, but four oscillators. There's the fundamental oscillator - a modulated sawtooth wave. You can dial in two additional modulated saws, one octave below and above respectively. And finally there's a sub you can mix in to make the resulting sound less harsh.

You can of course also mix in VCO 1 and VCO 2 for an even richer sound.
