Superbooth 2019: Supercritical Synthesizers Demon Core Oscillator

US 16 Analogue Oscillators In 12Hp!      17/05/19

New Finnish synthesizer manufacturer Supercritical Synthesizers were in the Alex 4 booth this year. We managed to grab some time with TImo to talk us through the design features of the Demon Core Oscillator.

We were really keen to see this because classically polyphony in the eurorack world was traditionally very hard to do, this type of thing makes it easy peasy, or so it seems....

The Demon Core Oscillator is essentially 16 analog oscillators, with digital control, packed into one 12 HP module, with a number of ways to spread, stack and modulate the individual pitches. The companion 8HP module Demon Core Expander allows polyphonic control of the 16 voices via MIDI and CV, bringing versatile polyphony to the Eurorack world.
