One of the exciting things about our recent Teenage Engineering OP-Z review threw up was the forthcoming oplab module for CV and Gate connectivity via the expansion port on the OP-Z - currently filled with the Phone stand apparatus.
Why? Well we figured that all that powerful sequencing would work wonders on a Modular setup, in such a compact form.
Today TE announced the oplab ZM-1 a bew module which fills that expansion port and adds, 3 CV outputs, gate, switchable MIDI, TRIG or Pocket Operator Sync via 3 mini jack outputs. You also can have MIDI or TRIG via an input jack.
Priced at £139 you can slot it right in to the OP-Z to add the extra connectivity - having MIDI and CV without any of the USB-C/USB nonsense is going to make it way simpler to hook up external gear. The power of the OP-Z sequencer, and of course the internal synthesis and sample engine could make it right up your street.
oplab ZM-1 is available now priced at £139 and comes with the 3.5mm MIDI cable adapter.
