Once upon a time, we had to wait until day 1 of NAMM for all the new goodies. But Korg as with many other manufacturers are deciding to go early to avoid the traffic. Hence, we see two new Volcas, the first being the Volca Modular- which applies the Volca format to a West Coast style synthesis with a complex Oscillator with patch points (yeah really!), two Function Generators including Woggle, twin Low Pass Gates and a Spatial Reverb.

Add to that the Volca style sequencer and multiple patch points (50 to be exact) that use little patch cables (20 included). These include CV input for hooking up external modular kit.

I wonder if we'll see an East Coast companion at some point?
