The Prophet X is Sequential's (formerly Dave Smith Instruments) came out earlier this year - we reviewed it in full. Its an ambitious and fully featured instrument combing a REV2 type synthesis engine with 2 Oscillators per voice (DSP) and analogue stereo filter, plus a multi-sample, two layer sample engine with samples provided by 8DIO.

With a large capacity SSD on board, there were always plans to import user samples, to allow constructing custom sample sets and kits. That is now possible as 8DIO have release their Mapping Utillity to free public beta. It can take existing samples and auto map (from sample meta data) Samples are exported to USB stick on the host computer, then imported via the Prophet X USB host port.
