New Moog Poly A Reality - Moog One
US
8 or 16 voice $5999-$7999 01/10/18
Rumours have been flying around on this for a whiles and goodness knows there's been many cries of the kind "release a new Memory Moog!" and it seems, if Sweetwater is to be a measure, that its exactly what Moog have done.
The Moog One is a high end 3 VCO per voice analog three part multi-timbral poly synth. With 2 filters per voice, 4 LFOs, 3 DAHDSR envelopes, digital effects and more.
And yes its expensive, at least it costs a lot, whether its expensive for what you get is harder to discern. Moog clearly commands a premium price and if its of the sort of quality we have come to expect from then, then perhaps its worth the $$.
We understand the VCOs are newly designed with Tri/Saw/PW with a variable rise and fall of the Triangle wave and reset phase of the Sawtooth.
Sweetwater appear to be the first to get the scoop, even the Moog website has no details, but on initial look at the details, its pitched as a performance instrument with what seems like a Voyager style X/Y pad and premium Fatar keybed.
