Why We Bleep - Mylar Talks To Colin Benders

US Utrecht's stellar synthesist chats      05/09/18

Mylar Melodies caught up with Colin Benders in London just before he played a 3AM set to talk to him for his series Why We Bleep - interviews with synthesists and manufacturers. Colin Benders is won of the people behind Kytopia  - a kind of synth collective in Utrecht. He made his name touring internationally with his Kyteman's Hip Hop Orchestra to great success.

In more recent years he's embraced the world of Modular synthesis and performs regularly using his monster system.

We talk about abandoning the computer entirely, the bare minimum he could play a set with (and times he's been forced to do just that), thoughts about the value of live performance, essential tricks and modules, and much much more.
