We haven't heard much from Behringer on the RD-808 (the analogue 808 clone ) since they showed it at Superbooth. but today (808 Day) they released this short jam video featuring a prototype unit they have in Manchester - we assume that its got some way to go, you can see the case is not fully supported - something we imagine will be fixed.
One of the dev team posted this video saying "happy 808 day Manchester" - yeah its kind of cheeky..
We also get to hear the Transient Shaper in action too - though you really need headphones to appreciate the low end - we couldn't really tell on the laptop speakers.
At the end of the video, we're told "See you 09/09" - which we initially thought meant that's when its officially shipping, or some other news about the RD-808, but more likely that they may show us something else on 909 day?
No other information about pricing or actual in-store availability. This video is obviously designed to let us know that its definitely coming.
