You may have seen the cover of the Pet Shop Boys "Opportunities" cover by Tom of Analogue Solutions. He brought together, the Fairlights, E-MU sampler, Yamaha DX-1 and other classic machines to make a recreation of the track (watch it here)

As with all good gear videos, Tom has made a followup "behind the scenes" video, covering the way it was setup and executed.
