Its been on the cards for some time, but now Elektron's Transfer App allows you to backup samples as well as load them on to Elektron Rytm MKII (OS 1.32) and Digitakt  (OS1.01).

This may seem like a "meh" moment, but its a really big deal. Up to now, both machines would allow you to  sample into the RAM and build complex sequences and patterns, but there was no way of backing up the samples you took.

This was kind of a major problem for pro-users, once its gone its gone and that's not a workable solution.

Transfer 1.1 now allows for bi-directional transfer, so those of you out there with the ticking time-bomb of a no backup situation can breath easy. Though it it still is quite a slow process. As far as we understand it, samples are transferred in SDS format, that is as HEX code - like  SYSEX data.

Also, anyone notice the logo for Transfer appears to have a certain resemblance to our logo?

Available now for Windows and Mac.
