Behringer have just released another Neutron video - the small, red, desktop analog semi-modular synth the guys in Manchester have been working on. Bucking the trend, its not a clone this time, but features a custom, resonant 2-pole filter. from what we've hear it seems to have some pretty harmonics, with some monster low end too.
We hear that the filter is called the Moffatt filter (at least in-house) as its a new design from one of the engineers on the team and s named after him.
We also have it on good authority that most of the Neutron is 'proper' analog, 3340 VCOs, VCF and analog envelopes too. Possibly the LFO being the only digital part (as well as the BBD we guess).
Pricing is not yet officially announced, but the figure of $299 has been mentioned on Gearslutz, where head honcho Uli Behringer has been hanging out, engaging with potential end users.
Shipping - spring/summer? price - $299 - probably.
