Hook and Jones has a ring to it I think, these guys are both very successful producers/mix engineers - we interviewed Gareth Jones at the Mute Festival here - Nick Hook is a New York based producer/DJ/artist who's worked on a wide variety of projects - he loves to collaborate. The pair met when Gareth Jones mixed Hook's band in New York in 2005.

When we caught up with them, they were preparing for their first gig to support their new album Spiritual Friendship. Gareth as recently rekindled his love of modular synthesizers, Hook being the man with the beats (amongst other skills).

The new album is available now and feature an interesting mix of ambience, electronic beats and sample cut ups.
