Audio Technica have updated their popular ATM350 small-format instrument mic to the ATM350a, shown at MusikMesse for the first time.

It's improved SPL handling by a pretty significant 10dB from 149 to 159dB, and there's a new modular series of mounts.

My personal fav was the sprig-loaded drum mount - it clips over the tuning lug, but still allows you to tune the drum with it attached - clever.

Edward Forth gave us a quick run-through - big shout-out to him too, for helping us out at the show with a spare part for our System 10 radio mic sets (all our show videos are recorded using AT System 10 units, btw).
