There have been rumours of the existence of a new Korg Volca - lets face it, when aren't there? But this one is actually real. The cheeky new Volca FM is a 6 operator 3 voice FM synth with the same architecture as another well known FM synth from the 1980s.

In fact it can read sysex from the DX7 - yes, thats right, all of those 1000s and 1000s of patches you can now load into one of the 16 memories on board. Add to that some cool FM motion sequencer action which allows you to tweak and record in the Volca style.

Three voices aint much sure, but al those classic bass sounds...

Expected soon, no idea of the price, but we cant see why it would be more expensive than other Volcas.
