So yesterday was the big release for the Roland AIRA Eurorack range with the four Digital Effects modules, the System-1M and the System 500 series. But one aspect of the system we didnt get too much information on was the Modular Customizer - the software which allows you to program the additional DSP functions inside each of the effects modules. This data is then sent over audio, much like the old cassette memory system or the Toneprint system. Neat.

We caught up with Viejo who is European AIRA product manager - he gave us some more information.

Turns out there are an additional five module slots which can be interconnected using the Modular Customizer software which will run on desktop and tablet.
