Controller

Arturia Beatstep Pro

Last year we were wowed by Arturia’s Beatstep - a pad sequencer with CV and Gate outputs to control our modular kit as well as MIDI.

Atruria's Beatstep Pro takes things up a level with twin sequencers separately addressable to MIDI out and CV gate out (64 steps each), 16 track drum sequencer with 8 dedicated pad trigger outputs, multi format clock output and MIDI I/O. Ideal to hook up a variety of analogue/MIDI kit it can store 16 projects, each with 16x2 sequences and 16 drum sequences. Nice.

We also considered the Akai Advance - keyboards with the larger controls, LED display and plug-in control, and the really nice looking Novation LaunchPad Pro - a Launchpad on growth hormones.
