In our previous episodes - we looked at the Tempo Detection, Chord Track and Groove Agent 4.0 features in Steinberg's Cubase 7.5. In this last installment, Gaz Williams takes us through track visibility for managing larger projects.
Utilizing a link between the arrangement window and the mix window and setting up key commands to sho and hide selections as well as advanced track filtering, its possible to de-clutter the workspace while focussing on specific elements of an arrangement. This is particularly effective when combined with fader controllers using the Mackie HUI or Mackie Control protocol to narrow down the selected tracks and have a fader for each element, no matter how far apart they are in terms of mix channels.
