NAMM 2014: Source Audio Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter With Hot Hands Wobble Bass (Video Demo)

We went to the Source Audio booth at NAMM - and yes, we had some fun   28-Jan-14

The Source Audio Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter was announced shortly before NAMM this year, bringing a bunch of new updates into their existing technology and making it sound pretty damn evil.

With eight new distortion voices and 12 different filter types, it packs a load of versatility into a relative small box.

Each distortion voice was designed to work in conjunction with the filter voices. The Manta features an interesting signal path, internally splitting the instrument's dry and distorted signals. The dry signal alone controls the envelope.

Source Audio have also released the Soundblox Hub, which syncs all Soundblox pedals giving you one source of control.

In addition to this, Jon from Source Audio gave us a demonstration of the Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter while using the Hot Hands controller, which resulted in some pretty fun footage.

Check out the video above to see/hear it in action.
