I reviewed the Yamaha O1V96i last year and was impressed with the amount of processing it had to offer, integration with the DAW and real-time DAW plug-in processing via the highly efficient USB audio driver was impressive.

If you are considering a purchase, perhaps this will help you decide - in the UK Yamaha have discounted the RRP of the O1V96i from £2695 to £2095.

With a total of 40 mix channels, 12 channels with XLR and line inputs, two stereo inputs, four stereo FX returns plus 8 ADAT IO each with 4 band EQ, compressor and gate you can mix a lot of inputs. Additionally, there are four assignable Omni output (aux/buss out etc).

USB gives you 16 io which is fully integrated into the routing of the desk and allows you to record multiple channels.
