Soundness has announced availability of version 3 of the SoundSoap audio noise reduction software, previously a BIAS product. SoundSoap 3 solves audio noise problems like unwanted hiss and background noises, clicks, pops, crackles, electrical hum, and rumble. Soundness tells us that SoundSoap is used by hundreds of thousands of consumers and professionals worldwide to create stunning audio for their video and audio projects. They say that this new version  adds new features, a new user interface, and 64-bit compatibility.

Steve Berkley, Founding Member of Soundness LLC, told us, "Anyone creating audio or video content already knows SoundSoap is the easiest and most affordable way to clean audio with amazing results. With a great new user interface, exciting new features, and compatibility with the latest 64-bit hosts, this new version of SoundSoap is extraordinary."

Here's more details directly from the company:

SoundSoap is so easy to use that even average consumers can use it successfully, without requiring any audio expertise. SoundSoap is ideal companion software for anyone creating videos, screencasts, podcasts, LP restoration, music, or dialogue. SoundSoap 3 works as a standalone application or as an audio software plug-in for use in popular applications like GarageBand, Logic X, Digital Performer, and Final Cut Pro X. The SoundSoap standalone application also makes an ideal companion to iMovie, iPhoto, Premiere, Skype, or any other audiovisual software.

SoundSoap 3 has a new user interface, including an improved high-resolution Wash Window. The Wash Window enables users to visualize the "before" and "after" results of the noise reduction processing. Earlier versions of SoundSoap required 2-3 seconds of isolated material to use the Learn Noise feature. SoundSoap 3 has an improved Learn Noise feature that allows learning from any length portion of the media, for as long as the Learn Noise button is pressed.

The standalone SoundSoap 3 application now features audio recording. After media files have been cleaned with SoundSoap, they can now be shared with one click directly to Facebook, Email, Messaging, AirDrop, and more. SoundSoap 3 is now compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit media hosts like Apple's Logic X.

SoundSoap 3 works as a standalone application, and as Audio Unit and VST audio plug-ins. The SoundSoap 3 plug-ins require Mac OS 10.6 or later, and the standalone version requires Mac OS 10.9 or later. The standalone version of SoundSoap 3 reads all major audio and video file formats, including QuickTime, H.264, CAF, DV, WAV and AIFF.

Pricing and Availability:
SoundSoap 3 includes the standalone application and plug-in versions, and costs $149 USD. SoundSoap 3 for Mac OS in Audio Unit and VST formats is available now, and SoundSoap 3 for Windows will be available soon. SoundSoap 3 can be purchased and downloaded directly from the Soundness web site. Previous owners of BIAS SoundSoap can upgrade to SoundSoap 3 for $49 USD.
