SonicTalk podcast regular Dave Spiers spotted this and let us know... a brilliant example of life imitating art, imitating... technology?
The podcast topic had come up a while back; how given the (then new) fad of making the previously hidden use of AutoTune glaringly obvious, it was inevitable that it would become such a common meme that vocalists would start to imitate it.
Well Florida teenager Emma Robinson has done just that in spectacular fashion - and whether or not you actually like the results, it can't be denied she has a prodigious vocal talent.
There are doubters, of course - and local newspaper the Tampa Bay Times sent a reporter to check for themselves - but we reckon she's for real. Of her talent, she says herself; "I don't know how I got it; I just can't sing without it."
Hope she can speak without it, though... or that could get pretty tiresome pretty quick ;-]
