Opeth guitarist Frederik Akesson has recorded a guitar masterclass for lessons website, Guitar Messenger, the dude has one of the best left hands in the business, with an almost unparalleled vibrato technique.

The focus of the lesson is first of all on string skipping and tapping, but then gets on to the more complicated matter of throwing chromatic notes from diminished scales into solos which are based in minor scales.

This is exemplified in the case of the Heir Apparent solo, which is centered around harmonic minor.
