We brought you news a few weeks ago that the inventors of MIDI from 30 years back, Dave Smith and Ikutaro Kakehashi are to get a Technical GRAMMY award. Now Roland has celebrated the 30th anniversary of MIDI with a YouTube video.

Roland had this to say "One standard started it all. One technology allowed different musical devices and computers to all speak the same language and make beautiful music together. Thirty years ago, MIDI was born...and the rest is history."
