WHAT: Get ready for the 2012 Roland V-Drums® National Championship! This exciting live competition gives drummers throughout the U.S. the chance to make history by competing at the regional and national levels with solo drum performances on the TD-30KV V-Pro® Series V-Drums. The top eight drummers in the U.S. will be competing in Austin for the national crown.
The evening event will also feature live performances by drummer, clinician and educator Johnny Rabb and international drumming sensation Thomas Lang. Celebrity judges will include Johnny Rabb, Roland Senior Product Specialist Steve Fisher and 2010 V-Drums National Finalist Robin Lopez.
Arrive early for raffles, celebrity autograph sessions, and cool prizes at this all ages, free, public event. All attendees will have the chance to win a free V-Drums Kit and other great Roland gear and prizes from sponsors like Vic Firth, DW, Remo, DRUM! magazine, American DJ and KLBJ-FM 93.7 FM Classic Rock, Austin!
The entire event will be live-streamed on the Roland U.S. website (7:00 p.m. CDT).

WHO: The V-Drums U.S. National Championship gives drummers nationwide the chance to make history by competing on line, then at live regional, and national events with solo drum performances on the TD-30KV V-Pro® Series V-Drums. Along the way, contestants can win professional percussion gear, accessories, and swag, with the U.S Champion earning the opportunity to represent the U.S. at the V-Drums World Championship 2 in Frankfurt, Germany, in April 2013.
Players started by submitting a link to a digital performance, via YouTube™ or other video sharing site, which were judged by Roland U.S. staff members. Of the hundreds of entries, 48 semi-finalists were selected to compete at eight regional semi-finals in September and the top players have moved on to the national finals in Austin.
