The Who have just Quadrophenia: The Director's Cut Deluxe Edition, and to mark the occasion the band have also made available the video recording of the exclusive Shepherds Bush playback party where Pete Townshend performed an acoustic set.
You can stream the footage for free at this location.
If you were lucky enough to be invited to the event where the filming took place (only 200 people were), you would have seen Pete Townshend perform a twenty-minute acoustic set, before a 5.1 surround sound playback of 'The Rock' and 'Love Reign O'er Me'.
There was even a Q&A with Mr Townshend, during which the guitarist described the process of the album's birth.
You can view the teaser for the event at the top of this page! The full video is hosted by Mojo editor-in-chief, Phil Alexander.
