Damon Albarn And Flea Supergroup?

We're beginning to lose count of the various supergroup ventures currently happening across the globe. Chickenfoot have shaken off the dreaded supergroup curse, and others now seem to want follow the same path.

Flea is already involved in one of the most successful bands in the world, and as if The Chili Peppers didn't take up enough of his time (what with a new album having just been released), he also teamed up with Thom Yorke for Atoms For Peace.

The bassist has now teamed up with Damon Albarn, and legendary drummer Tony Allen (Afrofunk pioneer), to form a new supergroup. The name of the band is Rocket Juice And The Moon – just in case the project didn't sound odd enough already.

Musically the project actually features some beautiful compositions, and how I would imagine Blur's Think Tank album to sound if Flea were to replace Alex James, and if Tony Allen were to replace Dave Rowntree.

You can listen to the song 'Poison' below, which was recorded live by a fan in London.
