Unashamed purveryors of rock goodness are coming back to the shores of the UK. Yes, it's The Darkness; the kings of the 'difficult second album', the kings of fading into obscurity only to realize that personal differences are far less important than making good rock music for financial gain!
We are pleased to announce that the leather-clad crew are playing an intimate show at The 100 Club in London town on October 10th, followed my a MASSIVE UK tour. This is good news for anybody who missed them at their festival appearances this year.
The band exploded onto the rock scene in 2003 with their debut album Permission To Land. The camp-rockers gained immediate thumbs-up from Brian May, and became famous for their glam threads and falsetto melodies.
Unfortunately, the seams started splitting during the writing for their second album, One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back, and lead singer Justin Hawkins left the band in 2006.
In March of this year the band announced the reunion of their original line-up, along with a string of tour dates:
