To mark the introduction of its new Fraunhofer Pro-Codec plug-in, Sonnox has announced a fun competition on Facebook, where three Pro-Codec's will be awarded on September 1st. Here's their press release with the details...
Following a lengthy collaboration with mp3 creator Fraunhofer IIS, the resulting Pro-Codec software introduces real-time auditioning, encoding and decoding of audio, using Fraunhofer's professional codecs, within a DAW environment.
"The Pro-Codec represents a huge advance in enabling engineers to precisely audition codecs in real time," explains Sonnox Sales & Marketing Manager, Nathan Eames. "It's now possible to make highly informed mix decisions with the knowledge of exactly how it will sound when encoded to various different formats."
To aid contestants in answering the three basic questions posed on their Facebook page, Sonnox has hinted that all answers are included in a brief but informative online product video.
