We brought you news of the Beta testing last month, now here's the official elysia press release...
The alpha compressor plugin is the software emulation of elysia's discrete class-A mastering compressor. It offers all the functions of its analog counterpart in the tried and tested look and feel – programmed by the code experts from Brainworx.
The extensive set of features makes the alpha a complete dynamics toolbox: Mid/Side and stereo processing, feedback and feed forward compression, Auto Fast modes for attack and release, integrated audio and sidechain filters, onboard parallel compression, switchable signal coloration as well as additional Soft Clip Limiters can be freely combined according to the users's specific needs.
But not only the final stage of mastering can profit from this processor with a focus on transparent compression: A special mixing version with a reduced user interface has been added for fast and easy mix buss operation. The plugin license includes all the important formats in one: TDM, RTAS, VST, AU and Venue. The native formats are available as of now, while TDM and Venue will follow in January 2011.
The company elysia are a union of creative audio enthusiasts aiming at a clearly defined goal: developing and producing high-quality studio equipment featuring that certain something.
Already the first product – the alpha compressor for sophisticated mastering applications – has caused global regard since its release, and it has won a PAR Excellence Award as well as an MIX Certified Hit Award in 2006. Its scion, the mpressor, has been nominated for a TEC Award in 2008. In 2009 the company launched the mpressor plugin as the first software emulation of its hardware products.
The initiators of the company founded in Nettetal (Germany) in 2006 are Ruben Tilgner and Dominik Klaßen. Affected by countless live and studio experiences as well as by over ten years of pro audio know-how they finally created elysia in order to make their personal sound philosophy come true.
Ruben Tilgner looks back on many successful development projects: besides others, he has designed the Transient Designer, the GainStation and the MixDream for SPL. Based on his experience in the marketing sector, Dominik Klaßen concentrates on communication, product design and sales related topics.
As a result of this cooperation, elysia stands for highest sound quality, exclusive use of top grade components, optimal operability and reliability, appealing product design, exemplary documentation and implementation of innovative features with a real profit for daily usage.
