Avid have a new logo - all employees lurking on the stand at Music Live were fully branded up, and while we were enjoying the new T-shirts,   we got a look at the latest 3rd generation Oxygen controllers.

You'll be pleased to know that the fader is back on the Oxygen25 - yay! as well as several new buttons and the all new Direct Link protocol. This hooks you up to your DAW (Tools, Logic, Garageband) right out of the box and provides integrated control both of the transport, active channel strip and instrument plugs.

We were fortunate enough to hook up with Tim Chandler, who's the main man when it comes to the M-Auio controllers - he designed much of the functionality. Tim gave us a tour of the Oxygen.

While undoubtedly the new Oxygens will be in demand, unfortunately it looks like we'll have to wait until early next year before we can get our hands on them.
