From Friday September 18th 2009, almost 18 months since it was first previewed at the 2008 Musik Messe, Melodyne DNA will be available as a beta for testing.

The Beta version will be in standalone mode only and require an existing install/authorization of the plug-in. All registered users of Melodyne can participate in the program. The sales launch is scheduled for the beginning of November and the price will be USD $349, or Euro 349 at the Celemony webstore and authorized dealers.

To coincide with the Beta program, Celemony have releaed a series of tutorial videos to help those beta testers to get to grips with the new features. The entire underlying codebase has been reworked to accommodate the new functionality so there has been a lot going on since the last time we spoke with the folks at Celemony - back at Winter NAMM.

For those of you that havent been exposed to the marvel of this new technology, that allows discrete editing and manipulation of individual notes and events in a polyphonic audio recording, check out our video from the original MESSE press event from 2008 (see link below).
