GSi have announced Key Performer which they say is a plug-in made for the giggin' keyboardist who needs a specific set of classic sounds that fit all music genres, from pianos to organ, from electric pianos to synths. Here's what they have to say about it...
There are six, yes six, different sound engines:
  • sample playback (a ROMpler) used for many different sounds;
  • two physical modeling electric pianos (tines and reeds, derived from MrRay73 and MrTramp);
  • a DX classic e-piano sound in pure phase modulation synthesis;
  • a small virtual analog synthesizer;
  • a tonewheel organ simulator derived from VB3.
All in a single plugin! And more: four effects slots with tremolo, auto-pan, wha-wha, phaser, chorus, flanger, echo, delay, reverb, amp simulations, etc. Not to mention the possibility to expand the sound packs with future releases of new soundsets. The keyword #1 is: simplicity; the #1 and a half is: efficiency; the keyword #1 and 3/4 is: authenticity! Not only Key Performer will sound good, it will be very efficient even on slow computers (nice performance on the V-Machine!) and will be very easy to use.
Pricing and Availability:
To be released very soon, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Price will be very affordable, with an introductory offer for 1 month and a further special discount for existing registered users of VB3, MrRay73mk2, EG70 or ZD6.
