Celemony's DNA technology was the the big news at the Frankfurt Messe earlier this year and was featured extensively in our video coverage. The company have now updated us on the plug-in's progress - Here's what they have to say:
Celemony Software have unveiled the updated schedule for the release of the new Melodyne DNA Plug-In including DNA technology. The plan was to release in Fall 2008. As right now we are in Fall 2008 the good news is that the DNA algorithm is up and running smoothly. The final challenge is that the data model and the Plug-In architecture had to be entirely redone from scratch as the Plug-In has to be capable of running infinite independent voices or playback tracks. That took a little longer than estimated. That means: The Melodyne DNA PlugIn will ship within the first quarter of 2009.
