Other World Computing (OWC) has announced the low-cost OWC Neptune line of external FireWire hard drive solutions with a high speed of 7200RPM and capacities up to 1TB, double the prior highest capacity 500GB model. OWC say that their Neptune FireWire solutions are perfect for audio/video, gaming, music, photography, and backup (fully Apple Time-Machine Plug n’ Play ready).

In addition to a one-year limited warranty, the premium hard drive mechanisms are further covered by an additional 4 year replacement warranty.
