You wouldn't think that Mike Brown could be the inspiration behind the Metasonix F*cking F*cker valve amp that is covered elsewhere in our NAMM coverage – well he says he didn’t and meeting him I can hardly imagine how he could utter such atrocities, but these synth-makers are a tight bunch so you never know who to believe - we’ll have to put it down to history now. I couldn’t find out any more about Mike, information is either legion (Mike Brown on Google gives a lot of results) or negligible. In conversation with him, I do know that he has an acquaintance with Daniel Miller - legendary founder of one of the world’s most successful electronic music labels and no doubt works under some hard-to-trace pseudonym creating massively successful albums (I dunno, Moby or something) with which he funds his fiendish electronics research... Okay, perhaps I’m getting carried away, but this is my third straight analogue synth video piece today..
