We stopped by the Royer Labs booth to see what's new, and had a chat to the ever-cheerful John Jennings who explained that as several engineers had taken their trusty Royer ribbon mics out on the road with them, Royer had decided to introduce a specific 'road-range' with slightly thicker ribbon elements to better withstand live use & abuse.
