One of my favourite pieces this - Nick from iZotope - who make a number of very nifty plug-ins, showed me the features of their new RX restoration tool. Retailing at $349, this looks set to clean up (excuse the pun) the audio restoration market. From what I saw, pretty much anyone who works with interview footage, audio spoken word etc will have an interest in this - I certainly aim to buy it for cleaning up ropey video sound and podcast interviews. In fact, right now, if you head over to their website, there's a special deal for $199 till the end of the month (Oct 07). You'll also get a free update to the plug-in version when they become available (early next year we hear.)
