Coming just before the AES show in New York (October 5th-8th), this Nuendo 4 upgrade sees new features in the post production and advanced audio areas. It comes with 38 VST3 surround and side-chain capable plug-ins and standard on each channel is a brand new VST3 Channel EQ. There's greatly enhanced bussing, summing and recording options - with common recording configurations for things like stems and print master - making thwm extremely fast to set up. MediaBay, Steinberg's file management system also gets some extra love - with file tagging and database searching for accessing files on any connected drive. The highly flexible Post Filter is engineered specifically for audio post, and features special options to remove unwanted noises form audio material, for example from location recording. New too is the Nuendo Expansion Kit: Cubase Music Tools for Nuendo 4 (NEK). This add-on module to Nuendo 4 contains optional music compositional functionality, including full Cubase scoring and notation, the Cubase MIDI Drum Editor, four integrated VST instruments as well as support for the MusicXML standard.
