Neve Channel Strip For UAD

Buying Choices
Universal Audio has announced the web release of v4.7 software for the UAD Family of DSP Card's & Powered Plug-Ins. Version 4.7 includes 14-day fully functional demos of the new Neve 88RS Channel Strip and LA3A Classic Compressor. Registered UAD customers can purchase full authorizations of the Neve 88RS and the LA3A plug-ins.
Mike Barnes, VP of Marketing for Universal Audio told us, “Our Neve 88RS channel strip is modeled after the current flagship of Neve's stellar sounding analog consoles and sets the price/sonic benchmark for plug-in channel strips. With its Four-band EQ, VCA type Limit/Comp dynamics, Gate/Expander and internal side-chaining for de-essing, the 88RS gives desktop DAW users (AU,VST,RTAS) access to a full-featured virtual Neve console at a simply remarkable price. It's low-distortion enables efficient DSP design, so users can run around 9 stereo instances (18 channels) on one UAD card @ 44.1kHz , giving up to a full 72 channel configuration on a fully expanded 4-card UAD system!
The LA3A completes our legendary UA Classic Compressor line, which are all now available in either real hardware or modeled software product formats for traditional outboard purists or inboard DAW users."
Key Neve 88RS Features include:
  • EQ & Dynamics form Neve's flagship analog console
  • Four-band parametric EQ with High & Low -Shelf Filters
  • Highly flexible Limiter/Compressor, Gate/Expander Dynamics Section
  • Exclusively Neve-licensed, UA modeled, only for UAD DSP family.
Key LA3A Features include:
  • Definitive solid-state optical compressor
  • Modeled from a "golden" vintage unit in UA's collection
  • Gain and peak reduction controls plus limit/compress switch

The UA LA3A - now available as a powered plug-in
About the UAD DSP Card
At the heart of every UAD DSP Card & Powered Plug-Ins package is the revolutionary UAD DSP card. Because of its high resolution, floating-point processing, ultra high-speed memory and hardware dithering, the UAD delivers outstanding high-headroom sound quality at sample rates from 32 to 192khz. Unlike other DSP cards, the UAD uses a single, unpartitioned vector processor, allowing for larger and more sophisticated plug-in algorithms offering a new level of power and complexity not found with host-based plug-ins. By greatly reducing the burden on the computer's CPU, the host application can now deliver more tracks, automation and native effects. Pricing and Availability:
Registered UAD customers can purchase full authorizations of the Neve 88RS plug-in for US$299 and the LA3A for $149. For a limited-time, the new plug-ins will be eligible for discounts as part of the multi-buy and power-user promotions at the Universal Audio website that expire at the end of June.
